Cyclone Wilma: 8:45am

Just after I posted my last update, the storm died down considerably. The myna birds and neighborhood dogs are out and about, which has to be a good sign. Right now we’re getting a very light breeze and a bit of drizzle. Here’s the latest satellite image:

It looks like the part on top of us is dissipating a little. We’ll probably get hit with some of that stuff to our north and northwest, but it’s nice to have a little break for now.

On the other hand, the local branch of the National Weather Service finally got around to issuing a Hurricane Warning as of 7am. The serious stuff started at 3am. Way to go, guys.
